And folks are brewing about Drake not necessarily penning all his songs like he claims he does. Apparently another writer–Kia Shine–on “Best I Ever Had” just won a BMI
award for that track being #1 for several weeks:
UPDATE: Byron Wright (in the pic above with Kia Shine) tells The YBF that Kia Shine is not a “ghost writer” for Drake. He won awards for the “Best I Ever Had” record because there was a sample in “Best I Ever Had” of another record Kia Shine and Lil Wayne wrote on. Kia did help to co-write “Best I Ever Had” though…

In one of the funniest and most unexpected red-carpet entrances of the night, the "Poker Face" singer sauntered up to Radio City Music Hall alongside the most famous of the Muppets. No slouch herself when it comes to outrageous fashion choices, Gaga wore a gold neck brace, gold face mask and black feathers sprouting all over her. Elements of the wardrobe came from designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

While Gaga stepped out of her limo, Kermit decided to chill inside. But before she headed down the carpet, she leaned in and gave the frog a smooch. Kermit was only too happy to return the favor. As of press time, there was no word about Miss Piggy's response to this new celebrity coupling.

As Gaga stopped on the carpet to chat with MTV News, Kermit flagged her down to make sure she hadn't forgotten her credentials to get inside Radio City. Then, of course, they took the opportunity to kiss a bit more.

"He's been a really good date," Gaga said. "It's our first date, but we've been eyeing each other for a while."

"We're just friends!" Kermit claimed.

The red-carpet arrival instantly became another of Gaga's classic public appearances, joining other times when she's rocked wacky outfits like skintight pleather pants, crystal-adorned leotards, gladiator-style body armor, S&M masks and Marilyn Monroe-esque blonde wigs.

Gaga then headed inside to get set for her highly secretive performance and to see how many Moonmen she'll take home after being nominated nine times, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video.

Beyonce Brings Taylor Swift On VMA Stage After Kanye West Rant

In a classy display of selflessness, Taylor Swift got a do-over at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Beyoncé brought the teen singer up following B's Video of the Year win.

Beyoncé told the audience about her first VMA win as a 17-year-old with Destiny's Child and how much it meant to her. The singer then called Swift from backstage to huge applause.

Earlier in the show, Swift won the Best Female Video award for "You Belong With Me" over B's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." But during her acceptance speech, Kanye West crashed the stage, took the microphone from her and protested the win, saying Beyoncé deserved it.

B and Swift both wore bright-red dresses and exchanged a hug before Beyoncé passed the mic to the teen artist.

"Maybe we can try this again," Swift said, drawing a laugh.

"I would really like to thank Roman White, who directed the video, and Lucas Till for being in it," Swift said. "I would like to thank all the fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone that came out to my shows this summer. And I would like to thank my little brother's high school for letting us shoot there."

Swift barely had a moment to utter a word during her first acceptance speech early in the show; West took the microphone away from her almost immediately.

"I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time," he proclaimed as B looked on from the crowd, stunned. West later left Radio City Music Hall after he was booed heavily for his rant.

Kanye West Crashes VMA Stage During Taylor Swift's Award Speech Kanye continues his history of onstage award-show rants.

This year, Kanye West picked the beginning of the Video Music Awards to deliver one of his famous rants.

The rapper stormed the stage just after the first award, for Best Female Video, was presented to Taylor Swift. He cut the teen singer off, grabbing the mic and protesting in support of Beyoncé.

"I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time," he proclaimed as B looked on from the crowd, stunned.

During the 2007 VMAs in Las Vegas, West delivered another rant and lost his temper after he was displeased with his performance being set inside a hotel suite rather than on the show's main stage.

'Ye's rants are usually in support of his own work. He memorably took the stage at the American Music Awards in 2004, declaring he was robbed of the Best New Artist nod.

His protest against Swift, however, was not well received. West stood briefly on the stage after his comments as the crowd was silent. Audience members then began to clap in support of Swift after West left the stage.

According to reports from inside the house, once cameras cut away from the action, West flipped off the crowd and returned to his seat. During the next commercial break, Pink walked by the rapper and appeared to shake her head in disgust before security escorted her away. West remained steadfast amidst the commotion as he kissed his girlfriend Amber Rose.
